The
Lodges on Seeley Lake
If
you like the outdoors and want to travel to a place that is
in touch with nature and where the people are friendly you need
to check this place out. The Seeley/Swan Valley located in Northwest
Montana is my definition of Nirvana.(dawnlk.jpg) The Lodges
at Seeley Lake are cabins built out of hand hewn lodge pole
pine logs in the early 1900's. Seeley Lake sits nestled between
the Mission and Swan mountain ranges. In the summer visitors
enjoy fishing, hiking, horseback riding, and canoeing.
The
winter provides Nordic skiing, snowmobiling, and dog sledding.
Or you can just relax with a book in the lodge and enjoy a roaring
fire built in the lodge's river stone fireplace. Click the hyperlink
and see what I mean. Be sure to tell my brother Brian and Kerry
hello!
Baptist
Health Systems of South Florida
This is the organization I work for. This year Baptist
Health Systems of South Florida was voted as Forbes top 100
places to work in the nation-second year in a row.
Island
Dolphin Care
Their
web-site says it all. Deena Hoagland, her family and her staff
provide a very unique and effective form of recreational reinforcement
therapy for children with special needs. Their clients come
from all over the globe and all walks of life. Her story begins
with her with her son's road to recovery from a serious illness.
This is one of my favorite places to hangout in the Keys.

Biogems
If you are committed to preserving our planet, I recommend this
site. When you visit this site you will quickly be able to send
letters, faxes and e-mails to your local representatives, politicians
and CEO's to voice your desire to protect these special places
like the Arctic Refuge, Greater Yellowstone, the Macal Rainforest
of Costa Rica and Red Rock Wilderness of Utah. When you register,
the Natural Resources Defense Council will send you e-mail alerts
(being careful not to overdo it, while respecting your privacy)
on new issues that arise. Here's what the best-selling author,
Barbara Kingsolver, says about this organization, "
these
things work. Every kind of communication adds up, and web activism
is a new force in the political landscape." Please take
a few minutes to explore Biogems,
and if you agree with me please extend an invitation to your
friends and family to do the same. Mother Earth is our most
precious resource and we are its caretakers. We cannot let her
down.
SPUMS
SPUMS is the organization for those interested in the medical,
physiological and occupational health aspects of recreational
diving. The highly readable SPUMS journal fills a valuable niche
in this area. SPUMS also sponsors phenomenal conferences in
exotic places, and with a major diving component. International
membership is badly needed to help balance the perspective with
our colleagues "down under". If diving medicine is
more than just a passing interest, then SPUMS is the society
for you. I've been asked to be the Director for South Pacific
Underwater Medical Society (SPUMS) North America.
