CAREER OBJECTIVE: Desires to serve in a leadership capacity with an organization involved in project development relating to diving safety & medicine; requiring skills in emergency & clinical hyperbaric medicine, program development, management, education, research, multi-media production. Best known for communication and creative problem solving skills.  
CURRENTLY: Hyperbaric consultant, teacher and coach. Work with Hyperbarics International providing approved training for physicians, nurses, EMT’s, CHT’s and allied healthcare professionals.  
RECENT POSITION:

Formerly, Program Director/Developer, Hyperbaric Medicine Department
Mariners Hospital, Baptist Health South Florida -
Tavernier, Florida.
Developed, coordinated and implemented the only hospital based hyperbaric program in the Florida Keys, which is now known as one of the premier diver treatment facilities in the country. Duties include project manager for three hyperbaric chamber system installations and upgrades. Direct all operational aspects of hyperbaric program including treatment of over 500 diving injuries. Divers Alert Network, Duke University Medical Center - Durham, NC
Principle co-author & Oxygen Program Manager for DAN's Oxygen First-Aid Program.
1989 to 1995 Other duties included; providing diving medical information and answering emergency calls, collect and assemble data on diving injuries, write articles and courses, produce educational videos and slide presentations, present dive injury management seminars. Associate Producer for DAN videos. Tellie Award recipient for the “History of Diving.”

 
1982-1989

Inner Frontier - Seattle, Washington
Small business owner since 1982. Inner Frontier promotes diving safety and hyperbaric medicine as a consultant. Supervised research dives for DSAT dive table development (IAPM, Seattle, WA 1987). Safety consultant for marine expeditions. Helped to establish operational hyperbaric programs.

Virginia Mason Medical Center - Seattle, Washington
Hyperbaric Chamber Supervisor duties included: Controlled chamber environment and treatment profiles, ensured mechanical integrity, supervised operator functions, and provided input regarding progress of treatment. Supervised 50+ diving accident cases including saturation. Supervised 400+ clinical hyperbaric treatments. Over 2500 logged hyperbaric hours. DAN Northwest Associate Coordinator. Medical Attendant/Advanced Diver Medic, Chamber attendant for diving accidents and HBO treatments.

Emergency Medical Technician - City of Issaquah/King County EMS
Aid Car Technician, EMS Driver, and Continuing Education Instructor. Contributed to writing standards for field treatment of dive accidents in King County, Washington.

 
DIVING EXPERIENCE: Since 1976, exceeds 3500 open-water dives for instruction, research, expeditions,
filmmaking, search and recovery, and recreation.
 
DIVING INSTRUCTION: Since 1984, taught over 800 diving related courses. Organized and supervised over 500 shore and boat dives of 4-30 divers. Conducted Dive Accident Management & Oxygen Provider seminars. Hyperbaric Inside Attendant, Diver Medic and Chamber Operator Training.
